Sluderno Nursery School Design

A group of designers named (amplusBiMstudio) were given a brief to design a nursery school in Italy, which accomodates about 90 students of ages 3 to 5 years old.

The aim of this design process was to make a better aesthetic look to make the children attending school more comfortable and more enjoyable. the aesthetics had to be more or less, matching with the town.

To design this school they used Autodesk Revit, Ecotect and Vasari.

Autodesk Revit was used for main modelling. The designers made use of it because it is very precise in geometry. It made their work more easier and helped them more in their team work. The model created by Revit gave them more information for energy analysis and technical project drawings.

They used Autodesk Ecotect, for site analysis and natural light analysis.

Autodesk Vasari was used to compare different mass forms, such as architectural and energy, and for creating a model in 3D printing.

In my opinion, the programmes used where used well, but although they made a good design, I would have used 3Ds Max to have a better quality of the rendering material and would have communicated the design better.
